Lamar Special Report # 1 LamarDulin@Eagle1023.com

Winter has left us behind and the first signs of Spring are becoming more plentiful everyday with trees and flowers showing their beautiful colors.  As humans, it's a time of awakening after a long winter's nap.  Our bodies adapt to the longer days and the warmer weather and we seem to have a new rejuvenation on our daily activities.  At Eagle 102.3, the visits to the different communities in our listening area have been exciting.  The Listener Appreciation Tour concludes this week and the response has been great.  It's always great to meet the many listeners in person and share a friendship with them although it's just for a brief period of time.  Covering the news for West Georgia requires me to be at many public functions and to witness news first hand.  Some of it pleasant--some not so pleasant.  Let's take this breath of a new Springtime to re-focus on what's important to us and pledge to accomplish unfinished tasks that we set out to do at the year's beginning. And count on your Eagle 102.3 family to be there to provide you with entertainment and information that will hopefully make your Springtime a happy time.

AL Special Report # 2 AlHaynes@Eagle1023.com

Well, here’s hoping that winter is gone by now. I don’t know about you, but did winter seem about three years too long this time? The older I get, the longer winter lasts. I can see why our northern brethren head south for the winter and seem to lose their way back.

We now transition into the next season….the “Cabin Fever” season. This season is characterized by flower planting, grass cutting, window washing, deck building and garden planting. The official fragrance of this season is Ben Gay. Spring arrives about three weeks later when we realize we’re not as young as we used to be and decide we can get someone else to do the work and save money on the chiropractic bill.

Spring is a wonderful time, though…a time of renewal…a time of beauty…a time of giving all your money to the federal government so Nancy Pelosi can tip her pilots. This is done because it’s for our own good and so that we can enjoy being with our families…’cause we certainly won’t be able to go anywhere or do anything after we’ve cheerfully made our voluntary contributions.

It’s also allergy season, a time we sniff more stuff up our nose than John Belushi ever thought about doing. Pharmacists love this season. This season is why pharmacists are able to take those extended Caribbean vacations every summer.

Nevertheless, I’m glad to have made it through another seasonal cycle, and here’s hoping you have a wonderful spring. And, pass the Ben Gay, please.

Hello, all . . . Robin in Traffic here!

Well I’m glad to see the warm weather has come.  It sure seemed as if we had a very long cold winter.  As they say April showers bring May flowers and with all the rain we’ve had lately it should be a beautiful spring/summer.  We have all had a lot of fun on the Listener Appreciation Tour and hopefully the fun will continue into the next few months.

Until next time, I’m wishing everyone health, happiness, and the very best!

 Dr. Don Special Report # 4 Don@Eagle1023.com

I really had a great time on this year’s Listener Appreciation Tour. Thanks to everyone who came out to visit with us. The tour gives us the opportunity to get out of the studio after a long cold winter.

Spring is here and while the weather has been non-eventful so far, that is likely to change so I encourage everyone to keep their radios tuned to EAGLE 1023 for the latest severe weather information. Our severe weather coverage is second to none for West Georgia and East Alabama with redundant radar systems and alert notification. We monitor the weather 24/7 and keep you informed when severe weather approaches.

We are gearing up for this year’s Bama Jam. Listen for your chance to win tickets to this year’s event in Enterprise , Al June 3, 4 and 5th. Kenny Chesney will be the headliner with many more of today and yesterday's stars.

Well I don’t know about everyone else but I sure enjoyed the Listener Appreciation Tour this year.  The only thing that could’ve made it better was some warmer weather but looks like we will be having that soon enough.

The basketball team I play with managed to get our third championship in a row.  It was a tough championship game but we came out on top winning 61-58 in double overtime.  With the basketball season coming to an end and it’s time for some baseball.  We will be covering the Braves on our stations this year so tune in for all the fun.  I know that for me baseball is my favorite sport to listen to on the radio and I’ll be tuned in listening and hopefully you will be too.

Till next month everyone keep their heads held high because good times are soon to come.

We are finishing up on our Listener Appreciation Tour.  It has been a great success… We really love our listeners and our sponsors.  It is such a privilege to come to work everyday and serve the public.  We always strive to keep our listeners informed about the news and the weather, as well as playing all those great country songs.  We feel we give our advertisers the best results for their advertising dollar… Eagle 102.3 listeners and sponsors are really our family.  As spring gives us a new beginning, we renew our commitment to be the best radio station that we can be.

Here it is the first of April….Maybe it will get warm for spring.

I hear people talking about how they want to see the Sunshine.   We have had a lot of rain but I’m sure we needed it. I think everyone is ready to get business going and get out of the doldrums.  We have been waiting for something to get us started, maybe it will be nice weather.

The economy will get better….but it will be up to us to do it.

Here’s wishing you a good month.
